Batman: The Enemy Within (PS4)

The relationship between Batman and Joker has always been an intriguing one. Telltale’s Batman: The Enemy Within explores a dynamic between the two that is more than interesting. We see what happened before Joker became Joker and what part Batman, or more specifically Bruce Wayne played in the creation of Joker. It also flips a lot about what we thought we knew about the Wayne family on its head.

If you haven’t played season one, it is recommended that you play that first. Season two continues the story and you can import your decisions from that game or start a new, the choice is yours.

From the first episode of five, the story draws you in and introduces some new villains, Riddler and Harley Quinn. As in the last game you play both as Batman and Bruce Wayne and sometimes you can choose between two different approaches and which one of them you want to proceed with.

I had almost forgot how good Telltale’s games can be in terms of interactive story telling. Even if you know some of your decisions don’t have that far reaching or dire consequences the game truly gives you the illusion that they have. Depending on what choices you make when talking to different characters your relationship with them will change, for better or worse.

As the world greatest detective you explore your surroundings and make connection between items you find. The gameplay is a mix of exploration, quick time events and dialog choices.

If this game piqued your interest, now is your chance to get the season passes for both seasons for only 7,45 € each in the Playstation Store.
