Star Wars Battlefront II (PS4)

Although Battlefront II is a pretty basic first person shooter (or third person shooter if you like) the fact that it is Star Wars and that it includes space battles makes you want to play it from start to finish. The 6-7 hours campaign offers enough variation and adds a decent new story to the Star Wars Universe.

The previous Star Wars Battlefront had no single player campaign whatsoever so it's nice that they have added one to this sequel. This game was part of the free PlayStation Plus games for June and since I'm not interested in the multiplayer at all, it is doubtful I would have purchased it otherwise.

The game takes place during and after Return of the Jedi and you play as Iden Versio, a new character to the series. For the first time (I think) you actually play as one of the "bad" guys in Star Wars. Which is quite interesting. Kind of like in Assassin's Creed Rogue, where you play as a Templar instead of an Assassin.

Iden Versio's story is not bad at all but the greatest appeal about the game still is that you get to ride in space ships and shoot storm troopers. See, I'm a man of simple tastes.

I wouldn´t recommend running out and buying the game just for the single player campaign. But if you have PlayStation Plus and you remembered to add it to your library, play it!
